October is all about fall, ghosts, and pumpkin spice lattes, but it’s also National Dental Hygiene Month.
National Dental Hygiene Month began as a way to bring attention to the important work done by dental hygienists and to increase the awareness and importance of good oral health.
At Ivy Lane our hygienists not only clean your teeth, but they also ask you about changes in your medical history, medications you may take, concerns you may have not only with your teeth, but your mouth, gums and tongue.
Each of these questions provide a foundation for complete oral care. We encourage you to ask your own questions and mention concerns you might have. During your appointment we want to know about any pain or sensitivity you have, or if you’ve injured your mouth since your last visit. Early detection of issues will help us to keep your mouth in top shape.
Not time for your next appointment but something’s not feeling right? Give us a call and we can help you out.
